Presents
“Infinite Spaces of the Landscape and Still Life”
Paintings by St. Thomas Artist Frances M. Rutnik
November 15 through December 12, 2002
Alexander’s Café, Frenchtown, St. Thomas
Frances
M. Rutnik’s show “Infinite Spaces of the Landscape and
Still Life” reflects her intrigue with the endless possibilities
that art possesses. Rutnik states, “One composition, no matter
the subject, always leads to another. The process of making art
always manages to turn my hours into minutes.” She currently
has been exploring the serene, tranquil spaces of our landscape
as well as the simplest of spaces created by objects in a still
life. Equally fascinated by both compositions, she strives to transcend
the viewer beyond the artwork, to a place where the essence of art
itself may be experienced.
